Managing Common Illnesses at Home: From Fever to Tummy Troubles
Parents often face coughs, fevers, and tummy issues. Here’s how to manage safely from home:

🌡 For Fever
- Use paracetamol or ibuprofen for relief.
- Keep child hydrated and lightly dressed.
- Call a doctor if fever lasts over 48 hours or exceeds 39°C.
🤢 For Vomiting/Diarrhea
1Avoid sugary drinks and dairy until symptoms settle.
Give ORS in small sips, bananas, rice, and toast.

🤧 Cough & Cold
Dextromethorphan and honey (for children over 1 year) can soothe coughing.
Use saline spray, steam inhalation, and warm fluids.
Know your danger signs: persistent vomiting, drowsiness, refusal to eat/drink, high-grade fever, or labored breathing require immediate medical attention.
